When Ms Anupama Dalmia conversed with me about an opportunity to be the guest author for the very last event of the year, I was more than thrilled.
The event was the culmination of all the activities done by Beyond the Box, in the previous months. As a guest author I was excited to be interviewed and speak about the work that I do. I was also given the opportunity to announce the winners who had participated in various creative writing tasks.
Ms Anupama and Reya, the student host, received me with a lot of warmth and affection. Reya asked questions that were relevant and made me reflect more about my journey as an author.
I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to being a part of more such events by Beyond the Box. It is after all, necessary that we all think critically and creatively to go beyond the confines of a box. Â
